Averill Park hung on vs. Columbia 54-45 in a high caliber (518) hoop tug-of-war. Price, Zach led the Warriors with 21 points. Averill Park depended on their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the the third period and at the final tick of the clock.

The Warriors held a slight 1-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter. This battle of wills kept fans on the edge of their seats through the third period. The Warriors ended the game in splendid fashion as they outscored the Blue Devils by 8-points at the pivotal point in the game.

Averill Park were strong out of the gate and sprinted out to a decent first quarter lead 14-5. They put together a lock down defense and took control of the quarter. Yet, Columbia rallied in the second quarter and outscored Averill Park by 9 points.

The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half stoppage with the game tied 22-22.

Averill Park exhibited great effort out of the break, after being all knotted up at the half, and grabbed an advantage of 35-34 going into the final quarter.

Price, Zach paced Averill Park with 21 points. Pascucci, Avery poured in 14 points. Romer, Ben totaled 7 points. McCart, Nick popped in 6 points.
