Mayfield won an instant classic versus Schoharie 41-39 in what turned out to be a colossal clash of Western Athletic Conference basketball clubs. Katie LaGrange paced the victors with 19 points.

Mayfield generated a game changing eight-minute counterattack as they out-shot the Indians 13-11 by the conclusion of the frame. That run iced the game.

Schoharie held a small 2-point lead at the start of the second quarter.

The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half stoppage with Mayfield gaining the upper hand. The Panthers played as a complete unit in the second quarter turning a 2-point first quarter deficit into a 2-point halftime bulge.

The Indians put forth a team first approach that provided a spark out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and tied the game 28-28 going into the final frame.

Katie LaGrange led the Panthers with 19 points. Brianna Hubiak racked up 9 points. Lindsey Hampton finished with 7 points.
The Panthers shot exquisite from the free throw line as they made 71.4%, 10 of 14.

Hannah Cater paced the Indians with 16 points. Caitty Schleifer netted 8 points. Abigail Fagnani had 6 points.
