Hawthorne Valley fell to New Lebanon by 3 points 48-45, in one of the top games played today. The Tigers built on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the final buzzer.

New Lebanon held a small 3-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. This no holds barred match up felt like a clash of the titans through the third quarter.

New Lebanon and Hawthorne Valley were all square after one period of play.

The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half intermission with Hawthorne Valley gaining the upper hand. The Wildcats played well in the second quarter turning a tied game into a 1-point halftime lead.

New Lebanon put forth a team first approach that provided a spark out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and grabbed an advantage of 36-33 going into the fourth period.

Tyler Price  paced New Lebanon with 13 points. Clayton Erickson  racked up 12 points. Cole Erickson  poured in 9 points. Henry Miller  totaled 7 points.

Chris Davis  led Hawthorne Valley with 18 points. John Drisbow  contributed 17 points. Yakko Hassell  scored 6 points.
