Albany Academy beat Loudonville Christian 62-35 in Section 2 basketball play.


The Bears were strong out of the gate and started the game in style racing to a hefty first quarter lead 21-4. They put together a lock down defense and took control of the quarter.
Albany Academy opened up a sizable halftime advantage of 39-11.

The Bears played well in the second period turning a 17-point first quarter lead into a 28-point halftime edge.
Loudonville Christian used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Albany Academy by 4 points.

The Bears were on top at every period ending horn by margins of 17, 28, 24, & 27.
Loudonville Christian turned up the heat in the second half but they came up short. 

The Bears had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Mianna Jackson paced Albany Academy with 14 points. Aaliyah Juste registered 12 points. Cydney Owens netted 12 points. Meleena Ottati totaled 9 points. Sarah Richardson with 9 points.
Albany Academy splashed 4 baskets from long distance.
Caroline Burke nailed 3 three-pointers.

Skyler Househoulder led the Eagles with 11 points. Victoria Ralston poured in 9 points. Genny Swanswon had 7 points. Juliana Paddock finished with 6 points.
Loudonville Christian used expert marksmanship to make 5 baskets from downtown.
Victoria Ralston made 3 three-pointers.
