Mohonasen outlasted Colonie 50-48 in what turned out to be a tremendous showdown of Section 2 hoop sides. Shawn Gillisslee knocked down a game ending buzzer beating three pointer to secure the win. Duncan Tallman paced the Mighty Warriors with 23 points. Mohonasen built on their solid second half play as they led at the end of the the first twenty-four minutes of action and at the final buzzer.

Focused play in the second half helped as Mohonasen outscored Colonie 29-21 in the final sixteen minutes. That was different than the first half when Colonie built a 27-21 lead at the midway point.

Mohonasen held a slight 3-point advantage at the beginning of the second quarter.

The Garnet Raiders played well in the second frame turning a 3-point first quarter deficit into a 6-point halftime bulge.
Mohonasen made a charge out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and snatched the lead 38-33 going into the final quarter.



Duncan Tallman led Mohonasen with 23 points. Chase Monroe netted 15 points. Shawn Gillisslee scored 9 points.
The Mighty Warriors shot with sterling accuracy from the free throw line as they produced 82.4%, 14 of 17. 

Marcus Shelton paced Colonie with 17 points. Logan Scott registered 9 points. Aaron Satin netted 7 points.
Colonie splashed 5 trey balls.
Josh Aybar nailed 3 three-pointers.
The Garnet Raiders shot with first-rate accuracy from the charity stripe as they made 76.9%, 10 of 13.
