SPORTS STAFF

Maple Hill prevailed over Chatham 55-38 in an intense Capital Region basketball match up. Both teams gave every bit of effort they had in a game that was closer than final score may indicate. Rian Jewett paced the winners with 21 points.


The Wildcats ended the game in great form as they outscored Chatham by 11-points when it mattered most.


Maple Hill held a modest 1-point edge heading into the second quarter.
The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half break with Maple Hill out in front.
The Wildcats played solid as a rock in the second quarter turning a 1-point first quarter lead into a 5-point halftime edge.


Maple Hill were in command at every period ending horn by margins of 1, 5, 6, & 17.

Rian Jewett led Maple Hill with 21 points. Evan Kulpa poured in 9 points. Blake Decker dropped 7 points.
The Wildcats buried 5 baskets from long distance.
Rian Jewett made 3 three-pointers.

JayShawn Williams paced Chatham with 16 points. Thomas Van Tassel racked up 8 points. Keon Armstrong poured in 7 points.
The Panthers connected on 7 hoops from long range.
Keon Armstrong nailed 3 three-pointers.
