Maple Hill pulled away in the second half to earn a 51–37 home victory over Catholic Central in non-league action.
Catholic Central came out strong, taking a 15–11 lead after the first quarter. The Crusaders opened up a 27-18 lead but the Wildcats finished the frame in good form but Catholic Central held a slim 29–26 advantage at halftime.
The game changed mid-way through the third period when one of the Crusaders top players, Gabriella Di Bacco, went down with an injury and didn't return. At the time of her leaving the game she had 14 points and Catholic Central had a 33-28 lead. Maple Hill held the Crusaders to one made field goal over the final 12 minutes of the game to grab the win.
Maple Hill tightened up defensively after the break, limiting the Crusaders to just eight points over the final two quarters while steadily building separation on the scoreboard.
A 15–2 advantage in the fourth quarter sealed the win as Maple Hill improved to 12–5 on the season.
Rosilee Forrest led Maple Hill with 17 points, while Lexi Gibson added 13. Addison Loszynski chipped in nine points, and Abby Palmer and Alexa Eaton combined for 12 to round out the scoring.
Catholic Central was paced by Emma Sagendorf and Gabriella Di Bacco, who each scored 14 points. Ava Oeffler added seven for the Crusaders.
