Broadalbin Perth outlasted Schuylerville 52-50 in a marquee Foothills Council tilt. Molly Russom was a serious problem on the offensive end for the victors leading the way with 19 points.
The Patriors came up with a final stanza late push getting the better of the Black Horses 13-10 as the clock struck midnight. That spurt ultimately sealed the win.
Offensive and defensive adjustments in the latter part of the game were a key as Broadalbin Perth outscored the Black Horses 32-25 in the final sixteen minutes. That was reverse of the first half when the Black Horses sprinted out to a 25-20 lead at the midway point.
Schuylerville held a slim 3-point margin at the start of the second quarter.
The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half breather with Schuylerville nudging ahead.
The Patriors were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Schuylerville by 4 points.
The Patriors had a triplet in double figure scoring. Molly Russom was a catalyst for Broadalbin Perth with 19 points. Jillian Sassanella racked up 13 points. Mairead Marsden collected 10 points.
