Mechanicville edged Hudson 58-47 in a hard fought (518) hoop match up at HVCC for a Coaches vs. Cancer event.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half stoppage with Mechanicville ahead by a small margin.
Mechanicville played with purpose in the third quarter and outscored Hudson by 5 points. They turned the pressure up on defense and scored in transistion as Hudson turned the ball over.
Mechanicville were in command at all quarter stoppage by advantages of 5, 4, 9, & 11.
Jacob Eiseman sparked Mechanicville with 17 points. Colin Richardson scored 14 points. Fen Egan added 9 points. Austin Rozowicz scored 8 points.
The Bluehawks placed three in double figure scoring. Jordan Cunningham guided the Bluehawks with 15 points. Keith Robinson chipped in 13 points. Malaky Payton bagged 13 points.
