Bishop Gibbons won a cliff-hanger versus Fonda 45-40 in an uber competitive game in Section 2 basketball. Bishop Gibbons relied on their steady second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the concluding tick of the clock.
The Golden Knights held a slim 1-point margin at the start of the fourth quarter. This encounter on the hardwood was a war on the floor through the third period.
Fonda stormed out of the locker room and sprinted out to a generous first quarter lead 12-6. They used their sensational defensive prowess and were in the drivers seat throughout the period.
The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half intermission with Fonda grabbing a slight lead.
Bishop Gibbons took the game by storm out of the locker room, after they trailed at halftime, which enabled them to commandeer the lead 33-32 heading towards the final quarter.
Dequawn Gheen guided Bishop Gibbons with 12 points. Jaquare Jones chipped in 11 points. Esiasyn Starr bagged 9 points. Zackarhi Archie popped in 5 points. Compten Allgood powered in 5 points.
