Bishop Gibbons won a cliff-hanger versus Columbia 75-72 in a tough as nails Section 2 hoop match up. Jaquare Jones was the straw that stirred the drink for the Golden Knights with 23 points. The Golden Knights rode the coattails of their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the concluding tick of the clock.
Offensive and defensive adjustments in the latter part of the game were a key as Bishop Gibbons outscored the Blue Devils 42-30 in the final two frames. That was the inverse of the first half when the Blue Devils put together 42-33 lead at the midway point.
