Niskayuna beat Middletown 63-55 in a Grade A match up from around the region. Ethan Gilson took control of the offense for the victors with 19 points. Niskayuna rode the coattails of their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the game ending horn.
Niskayuna held a modest 4-point edge at the start of the fourth quarter. This grudge match kept fans on the edge of their seats through the third period.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for only 18 points.
The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half intermission with the game tied 21-21.
