The teams needed more time to achieve their desired result as the contest went to overtime where Northville outscored Mayfield 8-7. 

Northville held a modest 3-point edge going into the final frame. This encounter on the hardwood was setting up for a monumental ending through the third quarter.

The Falcons held a slight 3-point advantage at the beginning of the second stanza.

The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half breather with the game tied 25-25.

Northville exhibited great effort coming out of the break, after the game being played to even across the board at the half, which helped them capture the lead 37-34 bearing down on the final quarter. Mayfield closed the gap in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Jacob Frank led Northville with 38 points. J.T. Artikuski contributed 10 points. Evan Tamulaitis had 8 points.The Falcons shot with first-rate accuracy from the foul line as they achieved 71.4%, 15 of 21.

Christian Scunziano helped the cause for Mayfield with 20 points. Trevor Ruberti racked up 19 points. Zach Byrns finished with 8 points.
