SPORTS STAFF

Simsbury (CT) won a suspense filled game vs. Bethlehem 65-58. Lauren Sabia and Amanda Gallagher combined to score 51 points for the group that came out on top.

Simsbury (CT) had great energy right from the tip off and played excellent team basketball on their way to a nice first quarter lead 19-10.

The Trojans managed to be ahead at all frame closures by splits of (+) 9, 9, 8, & 7.

The Eagles regrouped in the second half but it was too little too late.

Simsbury (CT) had a trio of players in double figure scoring. Lauren Sabia led the Trojans with 31 points. Amanda Gallagher scored 20 points. Olivia Jarns poured in 14 points.
Simsbury (CT) buried 11 buckets from beyond the arc.
Lauren Sabia nailed 7 three-pointers. Amanda Gallagher with 4.
The Trojans shot with superb accuracy from the free throw line as they made good on 90.9%, 10 of 11.

Caroline Davis was a catalyst for the Eagles with 22 points. Eleanor Cerf chipped in 17 points. Katherine Bannigan scored 7 points.
The Eagles produced 7 baskets from long distance.
Eleanor Cerf made 5 three-pointers.
Bethlehem shot with sterling accuracy from the charity line as they were efficient at 75%, 9 of 12.
