Corcoran their desired result depended on their solid second half play as they led at the end of the third frame and at the final stoppage.

Albany used an impressive first eight minutes and darted in front to gain a generous first quarter lead 20-14. Yet, Corcoran rallied in the second quarter and outscored Albany by 5 points.

The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Albany grabbing a slight lead.

Corcoran came through with inspired basketball out of the break, in the wake of their first half deficit, and took the lead 59-49 approaching the end of the final frame.

Albany rallied in the final quarter but time was clearly a factor.
