Hudson won a thriller against Maple Hill 55-51 in a tilt that most area coaches presumed would come down to the final buzzer. Keith Robinson showed the way for the Bluehawks with 18 points.
The Wildcats seemed focused right from the jump and sprinted out to a generous first quarter lead 15-8. Yet, The Bluehawks had a resurgence in the second quarter and outscored Maple Hill by 7 points.
The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half intermission with the game tied 25-25.
Hudson came through with inspired basketball out of intermission, after both teams drawing level at the half, and snatched the lead 39-37 going into the fourth period.
The Bluehawks placed three in double figure scoring. Keith Robinson was the straw that stirred the drink for Hudson with 18 points. Jordan Cunningham secured 17 points. Malaky Payton poured in 10 points.
