Niskayuna suffered defeat to Saratoga by 1 point 56-55, in a tough as nails Capital Region basketball match up. Saratoga beat the final buzzer with a three pointer as time expired.
The Blue Streaks generated a game changing eight-minute late push as they eclipsed the Silver Warriors 20-9 as the clock struck zero. That run iced the game.
Offensive and defensive adjustments in the latter part of the game were a key as Saratoga outscored the Silver Warriors 30-23 in the final two frames. That was the inverse of the first half when the Silver Warriors darted out to a 32-26 lead at the midway point.
