Shenendehowa seized a down to the wire victory over Fairport 72-68 in what turned out to be a colossal clash of top NY State AA squads. Bri Carey and Kaleigh Montanez combined to score 44 points for the Plainsmen.
Shenendehowa held a modest 4-point edge at the start of the fourth quarter. This encounter on the hardwood was setting up for a monumental ending through the first twenty-four minutes of action.
Shenendehowa had great energy right from the tip off and darted in front to gain a significant first quarter lead 22-14.
The Plainsmen were on top at all frame closures by separations of 8, 6, 4, & 4.
Bri Carey paced Shenendehowa with 23 points. Kaleigh Montanez secured 21 points. Abby Stuart poured in 9 points.
Shenendehowa splashed 11 hoops from deep.
