Fonda won a tense battle against Watervliet 53-46 in a high caliber Section 2 basketball Class B non-league match up. Jackson Cusack was an offensive force for the group that came out on top with 20 points.
The Braves had great energy right from the tip off and took hold of the ball game on their way to a nice first quarter lead 12-4. They impeded their opponent with a spectacular defensive effort and grabbed control of the frame.
The Braves were in control at all quarter stoppage by leads of 8, 6, 8, & 7.
Jackson Cusack paced Fonda with 20 points. Nate Mycek chipped in 14 points. Brady Melious scored 7 points.
Fonda splashed 6 baskets from downtown.
