Gloversville beat Broadalbin-Perth 53-39 in an intense Section 2 basketball match up. Harmony Philo led the Lady Dragons with 25 points.
Gloversville had great energy right from the tip off and played excellent team basketball on their way to a decent first quarter lead 15-8. They raced ahead after two quarters 31-13.
Gloversville played sound basketball in the second period turning a 7-point first quarter lead into a 18-point halftime lead.
The Lady Dragons used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Broadalbin-Perth by 4 points.
Broadalbin-Perth cut into the lead in the final quarter but time was clearly a factor.
The Lady Dragons were in front at every quarter buzzer by margins of 7, 18, 22, & 14.
