Niskayuna outlasted CBA 45-40 in a match-up that most area coaches thought could end with the culmination of two well coached teams clawing for every point. Sam Booth lit up the scoreboard for the Silver Warriors going off for 18 points.
The offenses really got it rolling in the opening quarter as they combined for their highest scoring period of 31 points. But, The Silver Warriors had great energy right from the tip off and darted in front to gain a nice first quarter lead 19-12.
Defense reigned supreme in the 2nd quarter as the teams scored barely 8 points.The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half breather with Niskayuna nudging ahead.
Niskayuna were in control at each frame closures by advantages of 7, 5, 5, & 5.
Sam Booth showed the way for Niskayuna with 18 points. Daniel Smalls chipped in 14 points. Gavin Olsen totaled 7 points. Kasper Matia notched 6 points.
