Chatham outlasted Maple Hill 48-47. Matt Thorsen put the defense on notice for the Panthers leading the way with 24 points.
The Panthers bolted from opening whistle and darted in front to gain a nice first quarter lead 22-8. Yet, The Wildcats regrouped in the second quarter and outscored Chatham by 10 points.
The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Chatham out in front.
Matt Thorsen guided the Panthers with 24 points. Tate Van Alstyne secured 13 points.
The Panthers connected on 6 buckets from beyond the arc.
Tate Van Alstyne nailed 3 three-pointers.
Chatham shot stellar from the charity line as they made good on 66.7%, 14 of 21.
