Albany won a close game versus Shaker 54-48 in a marquee (518) hoop match. Shonyae Edmonds helped the cause for the Falcons with 19 points. The Falcons their desired result depended on their dependable second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the concluding whistle.
The Falcons held a modest 4-point edge going into the final frame. This test of two ultra competitive teams was setting up for a monumental ending through the third period.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Shaker grabbing a slight lead.
The Blue Bison played sound basketball in the second period turning a 4-point first quarter deficit into a 3-point halftime supremacy.
