Averill Park narrowly held off Bethlehem 58-50, to gain the season sweep over Bethlehem, in what turned out to be a tremendous test between the lines of Section 2 basketball clubs. Averill Park favorable outcome hinged on their dependable second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the game ending whistle.
Averill Park and Bethlehem were all square after one period of play.
The Warriors played solid as a rock in the second frame turning a tied game into a 6-point halftime upper hand.
