Guilderland narrowly held off Ballston Spa 57-47 in a hard fought Section 2 Class AA playoff tilt . Gwen Case was a serious problem on the offensive end for the Lady Dutch going off for 28 points. Guilderland now faces #1 seed Albany at 7:30 p.m. on February 23rd.

Guilderland bolted from opening whistle and started the game in style racing to a generous first quarter lead 13-7. They put together an imposing effort guarding the hoop and were in the drivers seat throughout the period.

The Lady Dutch played with purpose in the third quarter and outscored Ballston Spa by 5 points.

Guilderland asserted their dominance and led at each quarter buzzers by advantages of 6, 7, 12, & 10.

The Lady Dutch placed three players in double figure scoring. Gwen Case led Guilderland with 28 points. Destiny Pipino splashed in 12 points. Jessica Helou-Topini knocked down 10 points.
Guilderland drained 5 baskets from behind the three point line.
Destiny Pipino nailed 3 three-pointers.
The Lady Dutch shot with skillful form at the free throw line as they produced 66.7%, 12 of 18.

Olivia Verdile put forth a strong offensive game for the Scotties with 16 points. Payton Messina netted 9 points.
