Albany Academy brought home the win versus Schalmont 72-47 in a Class B semi-final round game. The Bears move on to the title game vs Catskill on March 2nd at HVCC.
Albany Academy dominated the first half and led 40-21.
The Bears played team basketball in the second period turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 19-point halftime upper hand.
Albany Academy were in command at each quarter buzzers by advantages of 5, 19, 20, & 25.
The Bears had a quartet of players in double figure scoring. Saige Randolph showed the way for the Bears with 17 points. Eva Gitto poured in 12 points. Bella Vincent bagged 12 points. Alex Leonard notched 11 points. Stylianna Mantzouris recorded 8 points.
The Bears splashed 13 baskets from downtown.
Alex Leonard made 3 three-pointers.
Karissa Antoine was a catalyst for Schalmont with 30 points. Gianna Cirilla powered in 10 points.
Schalmont drained 5 hoops from behind the arc.
