Bethlehem prevailed over Shenendehowa 58-40 in a Class AA semi-final matchup. Caroline Davis led the Eagles with 18 points. Bethlehem will take on Albany for the Class AA title on Friday night March 3rd at HVCC.
Bethlehem secured the win in splendid fashion as they overshadowed Shenendehowa by 8-points at the cruicial moment of the contest.
The offenses really got it rolling in the opening quarter as they combined for their highest scoring period of 34 points. But, The Eagles bolted from opening whistle and rushed out to a nice first quarter lead 21-13. Yet, Shenendehowa regrouped in the second quarter and outscored Bethlehem by 6 points.
The coronation of a winner was still unresolved as the teams went to the first half breather with Bethlehem gaining the upper hand.
The Eagles were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Shenendehowa by 8 points.
The Eagles managed to be ahead at all frame closures by splits of (+) 8, 2, 10, & 18.
The Eagles had a trio of players in double figure scoring. Caroline Davis showed the way for the Eagles with 18 points. Kaitlyn Robbins added 16 points. Katherine Bannigan scored 11 points. Ellie Cerf knocked down 7 points.
