Despite an all-star performance by Joey Poulin of Tamarac, the Bengals were defeated by Glens Falls 69-67 in a Class B semi-final sectional contest. Poulin scored a game high 32 points. Kellen Driscoll sparked the offense for the Indians with 26 points. Glens Falls will take on Catholic Central for the Class B title on Saturday March 4th at 12:45 p.m. in Glens Falls.
Spurned on by a first-class performance in the last half the Indians outscored Tamarac 40-32 in the final sixteen minutes. That was contradictory to the first half when Tamarac sprinted out to a 35-29 lead at the midway point.
Tamarac held a modest 2-point edge at the commencement of quarter two. The Bengals played team basketball in the second frame turning a 2-point first quarter lead into a 6-point halftime bulge.
The Indians exhibited great effort coming out of the break, after they trailed at the half, which helped them capture the lead 53-47 going into the fourth period.
The Indians had a quartet of players in double figure scoring. Kellen Driscoll sparked the offense for the Indians with 26 points. Oscar Lilac scored 13 points. Cooper Nadler knocked down 11 points. Alex Cygan dropped 10 points.
The Indians produced 5 hoops from behind the arc.
