Maple Hill defeated Rensselaer 55-35 in a Patroon Conference basketball match up. Maple Hill relied on their solid second half play as they led at the end of the the first twenty-four minutes of action and at the last whistle.
The Wildcats poured it on in the second half and collected the victory. Maple Hill ended the game with clutch play as they outscored Rensselaer by 6-points when it mattered most.
Rensselaer held a slight 2-point advantage at the start of the second quarter. The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Rensselaer gaining the upper hand.
Maple Hill exhibited great effort out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and took the lead 44-30 going into the final quarter.
The Wildcats had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Stacia Coyne paced Maple Hill with 14 points. Lauryn Smith collected 12 points. Natasha Strock totaled 11 points.
Cancer led Rensselaer with 9 points. Bynum powered in 8 points. Spence added 6 points. Van Wie dropped 4 points. Vogel accumulated 4 points.
