Both teams struggled to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for a scant 8 points as Bishop Gibbons grabbed a 7-1 lead.

Bishop Gibbons were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Hartford by 10 points giving the Golden Knights a 37-20 lead.
