Peru outlasted Warrensburg 38-32. Duprey ignited the offense for the Nighthawks leading the way with 19 points.
The Nighthawks had great energy right from the tip off and played excellent team basketball on their way to a generous first quarter lead 13-4. They limited their opponent with a superb defensive effort and imposed their will in the quarter.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half breather with Peru nosing in front.
The Nighthawks managed to be ahead at each quarter stoppage by advantages of 9, 5, 5, & 6.
Duprey was the straw that stirred the drink for Peru with 19 points. Gushlaw-Mirville racked up 8 points. D. Snider knocked down 6 points.
Zailey Baker paced Warrensburg with 10 points. Hope Sherman added 9 points. Eliana York tallied 7 points. Bridget Anaman knocked down 5 points.
