Columbia pulled away from Colonie 61-47 in a Suburban Council collision. Alivia Landy played expectionally well on the attacking side of the floor for the Blue Devils going off for 24 points.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for barely 17 points.
The squads revved up the offenses and combined for a potent offensive display 43 points in the second quarter. The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half recess with Columbia ahead by a small margin.
The Blue Devils used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Colonie by 10 points.
Columbia were out in front at each quarter buzzers by separations of 5, 2, 12, & 14.
Columbia placed three in double figure scoring. Alivia Landy guided Columbia with 24 points. Kendyl Ouimette secured 13 points. Sarah Rainville added 12 points.
The Blue Devils splashed 4 trifectas.
Olivia Hoffman helped the cause for Colonie with 10 points. Aliyah Pearson added 8 points. Aliana Payne dropped 7 points. Kayden Cornell knocked down 6 points. Ella Trimarchi powered in 6 points.
Colonie used expert marksmanship to make 6 buckets from beyond the arc.
