Averill Park slipped past Queensbury 57-48 in the opening round of the Shawn Walsh Memorial Tournament. Phelps guided the Warriors with 18 points. Averill Park will take on Burnt Hills for the title.

Queensbury performed well in the second period turning a 2-point first quarter deficit into a 4-point halftime upper hand.
Both teams struggled to score the ball coming out of the locker room after the half as they combined for small margin of 15 points.
The Warriors had a trio of players in double figure scoring. Phelps was an offensive spark plug for Averill Park with 18 points. Nardacci chipped in 14 points. Bradley scored 14 points.
