Fonda grabbed the win versus Johnstown 52-24 in the opening round of the Bill Higgins tournament. Brady Melious ignited the offense for the victors going off for 19 points. Fonda will play Watervliet on Friday for the title.
Fonda were assertive second half as they played superb in the win.
Fonda played with purpose in the third quarter and outscored Johnstown by 11 points.
Fonda were out in front at each quarter stoppage by plus 5, 9, 20, & 28.
Brady Melious helped the cause for Fonda with 19 points. Riley Wilson powered in 7 points. Logan Miller knocked down 7 points. Aidan Frederick bagged 6 points.
Fonda buried 4 hoops from deep.
Hoyt paced Johnstown with 8 points. Lake netted 6 points. Fennessey had 3 points. Yetto notched 3 points.
