Voorheesville seized a down to the wire victory over Bishop Gibbons 73-70. Brady Eitleman ignited the offense for the Blackbirds and made their impact felt on the game with 26 points. Voorheesville relied on their steady second half play as they led at the end of the first twenty-four minutes of action and at the culminating stoppage.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half break with Bishop Gibbons out in front.
Voorheesville came through with inspired basketball out of the break,after their shortfall in the first half, and seized the opportunity 56-46 moving on to the last quarter.
Bishop Gibbons played well in the final quarter but ran out time as the clubs lit up the scoreboard tonight.
