In spite of an all-star scoring effort from Daniel Covington of Albany, the Falcons took the loss against Colonie 74-60. Covington scored a game high 23 points. Cameron Trimarchi was an offensive spark plug for the Garnet Raiders with 20 points. Colonie remains undefeated on the season at 10-0.
Colonie held a small 1-point lead at the start of the second quarter. Albany fell behind by a score of 35-22 at the half.
The Garnet Raiders played team basketball in the second period turning a 1-point first quarter lead into a 13-point halftime advantage.
The Garnet Raiders managed to be ahead at all period closing whistle by splits of (+) 1, 13, 10, & 14.
Colonie placed four in double figure scoring. Cameron Trimarchi paced the Garnet Raiders with 20 points. Julius Reed collected 17 points. Ryan Klouse scored 16 points. Camryn Curet popped in 11 points.
