Averill Park outlasted Bethlehem 56-54 as Jacob Phelps drove the lane for a hoop with two seconds left in the game. Benicio Morelli led the Warriors with 18 points.
The Warriors held a small 4-point lead heading into the fourth period.
Focused play in the second half helped as the Warriors outscored Bethlehem 33-25 in the final two frames. That was contradictory to the first half when Bethlehem scurried out to a 29-23 lead at the midway point.
The Warriors took the game by storm out of intermission, after their shortfall in the first half, and took the lead 41-37 moving on to the last quarter.
Averill Park placed three players in double figure scoring. Benicio Morelli led the Warriors with 18 points. Ethan Nardacci poured in 13 points. Jacob Phelps bagged 10 points. Jack Behan sank 8 points.
