Despite a great scoring performance by Hughes of Coxsackie-Athens, the Riverhawks fell to Greenville 70-58. Hughes of the Riverhawks scored a game high 23 points. Jack Giarrusso put forth a strong offensive game for the Spartans with 20 points.


The Spartans had great energy right from the tip off and took hold of the ball game on their way to a generous first quarter lead 14-7. 
The Spartans were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Coxsackie-Athens by 12 points.
Coxsackie-Athens dug in and fought back in the final quarter but the clock wasn't on their side.
The Spartans asserted their dominance and led at all frame closures by splits of (+) 7, 10, 22, & 12.

The Spartans had five players in double figure scoring. Jack Giarrusso put forth a strong offensive game for the Spartans with 20 points. Jonas Britton secured 13 points. Keegan Palmeri collected 10 points. Isaac McAneny tallied 10 points. Jacob Rauf sank 10 points.
Greenville knocked down 4 buckets from beyond the arc.

The Spartans shot excellent from the foul line as they prospered at 80%, 8 of 10.
Hughes guided the Riverhawks with 23 points. Couras chipped in 10 points. ValAlphen totaled 8 points.
Coxsackie-Athens shot with superb accuracy from the charity line as they achieved 70%, 7 of 10.
