In spite of an excellent game by Evan Rainville of Columbia, the Blue Devils succumbed to defeat against Albany 75-60. Rainville scored a game high 29 points. Daniel Covington and Rasahn Johnson combined to score 41 points for the Falcons.
The Falcons seemed focused right from the jump and darted in front to gain a significant first quarter lead 17-9. Yet, The Blue Devils regrouped in the second quarter and outscored Albany by 9 points.
The coronation of a winner was still unresolved as the teams went to the first half breather with Columbia gaining the upper hand.
Columbia played as a cohesive squad in the second frame turning a 8-point first quarter deficit into a 1-point halftime control.
The Falcons took the game by storm out of intermission, after they trailed at the half, and snatched the lead 56-40 moving on to the final quarter.
Daniel Covington led the Falcons with 21 points. Rasahn Johnson collected 20 points. Darius Horne bagged 9 points. Sincere Allah knocked down 9 points.
The Falcons splashed 5 trey balls.
