Galway lost against OESJ by 18 points 45-27. Taylor Hayes sparked the attack for the victors with 23 points.
Galway played crisp right from the jump and sprinted out to a nice first quarter lead 12-6. They hampered their opponent with a superb defensive effort and were in the drivers seat throughout the period. Yet, OESJ perked up in the second quarter and outscored Galway by 5 points.
The coronation of a winner was still unresolved as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Galway ahead by a small margin.
The Wolfpack came through with inspired basketball out of the break, after they trailed at the half, which enabled them to commandeer the lead 29-23 moving on to the final frame.
Taylor Hayes guided OESJ with 23 points. Kali Hazzard scored 6 points. Brooke Trumble netted 5 points.
Kiera Allen sparked the attack for the Golden Eagles with 8 points. Anna Spadaro chipped in 7 points. Amber Kolpakas dropped 4 points. McKenna Kanaby popped in 3 points. Heather Ehrenberg racked up 3 points.
