Maple Hill edged Cambridge 60-49 in a Class C battle. Maple Hill relied on their dependable second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the concluding horn. The top seeded Wildcats advance to play #8 Whitehall on 2/23 at HVCC.
Focused play in the second half helped as the Wildcats outscored the Cambridge 42-24 in the final two periods. They flipped the script of the first half when the Cambridge darted out to a 25-18 lead at the midway point.
Maple Hill held a modest 1-point edge at the start of the second quarter.
Cambridge performed well in the second period turning a 1-point first quarter deficit into a 7-point halftime advantage.
Maple Hill took the game by storm out of the break, in the wake of their first half deficit, and took the lead 42-36 going into the final frame.
