The Eagles fell to the Golden Eagles by 17 points 61-44, in a hard fought Section 2 basketball tug-of-war. The Galway mamba mentality helped them finish off the win. The Golden Eagles rode the coattails of their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the final buzzer.
Loudonville Christian were strong out of the gate and darted in front to gain a significant first quarter lead 20-6. They put together an imposing defense and took control of the quarter. Yet, The Golden Eagles rallied in the second quarter and outscored Loudonville Christian by 19 points.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half stoppage with Galway out in front.
The Golden Eagles played as a complete unit in the second period turning a 14-point first quarter deficit into a 5-point halftime edge.

Genny Swanswon paced the Eagles with 22 points. Victoria Ralston contributed 11 points.
