North Warren won an instant classic versus Fort Edward 65-59 in a game that most local high school basketball followers expected to come down to the last whistle. Reece Bradley led the winners with 20 points.
The teams needed more time to achieve their desired result as the tilt went to overtime where The Cougars outscored Fort Edward 9-3. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.
Fort Edward came up with a final stanza push as they bested the Cougars 20-18 to force the extra session.
North Warren held a slight 2-point advantage going into the final frame. This duel was headed towards an epic finish through the third period.
Sparked by a great team effort in the second half the Cougars outscored Fort Edward 41-30 in the final two frames and (OT). That was contradictory to the first half when Fort Edward built a 29-24 lead at the midway point.
