Hoosick Falls dropped Stillwater 57-40 in a hard fought Capital Region basketball tilt . L. Thayne led the victors with 23 points. Hoosick Falls relied on their solid second half play as they led at the end of the the third period and at the final horn.
The Panthers ended the game with clutch play as they outscored the Warriors by 5-points when it mattered most.
The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half intermission with Hoosick Falls gaining the upper hand.
Hoosick Falls played well in the second frame turning a 4-point first quarter deficit into a 5-point halftime lead. However, The Panthers took advantage great halftime adjustments and led 40-28 headed to the fourth quarter.
Hoosick Falls used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Stillwater by 7 points.
L. Thayne paced Hoosick Falls with 23 points. S. Estes contributed 9 points. M. Walker scored 9 points.
The Panthers knocked down 5 trey balls.
