Richfield Springs won an instant classic versus Galway 48-44 in one of the top games in Section 2 non-league basketball. Hosford led the winners with 25 points.
Richfield Springs generated a game changing eight-minute counterattack getting the better of the Golden Eagles 21-12 by the conclusion of the final frame. They survived this tough encounter.
Richfield Springs used an impressive first eight minutes and played excellent team basketball on their way to a decent first quarter lead 13-6. They put together a magnificent defensive performance and took control of the quarter.
Galway exhibited great effort out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and took the lead 32-27 going into the fourth period.
Hosford paced Richfield Springs with 25 points. Duncan netted 6 points. Bowman scored 6 points.
