The Golden Eagles fell to Madrid-Waddington by 3 points 56-53. B. Harmer led the victors with 28 points.
Madrid-Waddington used a fourth quarter push as they eclipsed the Golden Eagles 18-10 in the closing minutes. That run iced the game.
Offensive and defensive adjustments in the second half were a key as Madrid-Waddington outscored the Golden Eagles 36-26 in the final two frames. That was contradictory to the first half when the Golden Eagles built a 27-20 lead at the midway point.
Madrid-Waddington had great energy right from the tip off and started the game in style racing to a nice first quarter lead 14-3. They put together an imposing defense and took control of the quarter.
