In spite of an all-star scoring effort from Cameron Kenney of Middleburgh, the Knights were defeated by Duanesburg 54-50. Kenney scored a game high 22 points. Zachary Gamache paced the Eagles with 17 points.
The Eagles came up with a final stanza counterattack as they out-scored the Knights 18-10 as regulation came to an end. They survived this tough encounter.
Middleburgh were strong out of the gate and sprinted out to a nice first quarter lead 19-13.
The Knights played well in the second period turning a 6-point first quarter lead into a 11-point halftime edge.
The Eagles used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Middleburgh by 7 points.
Duanesburg had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Zachary Gamache paced the Eagles with 17 points. Jakob Stahl netted 16 points. Matt Coons had 12 points.
The Eagles used expert marksmanship to make 4 baskets from long distance.
