La Salle tipped Mohonasen 55-38 in a high energy Section 2 basketball affair.
La Salle finished the game in great form as they outscored Mohonasen by 7-points at the pivotal point in the game.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for just 14 points. But, The Cadets were strong out of the gate and darted in front to gain a hefty first quarter lead 11-3. They put together a lock down defense and took control of the quarter. However, Mohonasen rallied in the second quarter and outscored La Salle by 7 points.
The squads revved up the offenses and combined for a net scorching 35 points in the second quarter. The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half stoppage with La Salle nosing in front.
The Cadets used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Mohonasen by 9 points.
The Cadets were in control at every period ending horn by margins of 8, 1, 10, & 17.
Dickson paced the Cadets with 14 points. Lucarelli registered 10 points. Catherwood finished with 8 points. Lewis tallied 8 points.
La Salle knocked down 9 buckets from beyond the arc.
Dickson nailed 3 three-pointers.
Gillisslee led Mohonasen with 10 points. Gannon poured in 10 points. Cornell dropped 9 points.
The Mighty Warriors splashed 6 trifectas.
Cornell made 3 three-pointers.
