NDBG won an instant classic versus Mayfield 48-46 in a game that most area fans thought would be a showdown of two quality teams. This meeting delivered the goods.
The Golden Knights produced a last period push as they out-shot Mayfield 17-11 in the closing minutes. That spurt ultimately sealed the win.
Mayfield held a small 4-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter. This no holds barred match up kept fans on the edge of their seats through the third quarter.
Mayfield held a slim 3-point margin at the beginning of the second quarter.
Mayfield made a charge out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and snatched the lead 35-31 going into the fourth period.
