Schoharie outlasted Mayfield 48-46 to capture the Mayfield Holiday Tournament.

The Indians used a fourth quarter push as they eclipsed Mayfield 15-8 as regulation came to an end. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.

Offensive and defensive adjustments in the second half were a key as Schoharie outscored Mayfield 32-17 in the final sixteen minutes. That was the opposite of the first half when Mayfield built a 29-16 lead at the midway point.

The Panthers played well in the second period turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 13-point halftime lead.

The Indians used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Mayfield by 8 points.

Julie Lehoe led Schoharie with 13 points. Hannah Cater collected 10 points. Haley Drinon tallied 8 points. Alyssa Vangasbeck finished with 7 points. Misha Cater-Smith racked up 6 points.

Kelsey Meca paced Mayfield with 24 points. Brianna Hubiak registered 9 points. Cloey Dopp netted 6 points.
The Panthers buried 8 hoops from long range.
Kelsey Meca nailed 4 three-pointers.
Mayfield shot exquisite from the charity stripe as they produced 76.9%, 10 of 13.
